H.E. Abdur Rahman, MP
Mr. M. Abdur Rahman is one of the key members of the Bangladesh Awami League's central committee. In 1981, he served as a managing member of the central executive body of the Bangladesh Chhatra League and was elected as Joint General Editor in 1984. In the 2001-02 term, he was a central observer member of the Bangladesh Awami League. At the 17th conference of the Bangladesh Awami League, he was assigned the responsibility of organizational editor of the party and served in that capacity until May 2002. In 2008, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the first time from the Faridpur-01 constituency with a significant vote, carrying the boat symbol. Later, at the 19th conference of the Bangladesh Awami League, he became an executive member of the party. In the twelfth national parliamentary elections, he was elected as a Member of Parliament for the third time from the Faridpur-1 (Boalmari, Madhukhali, and Alfadanga) constituency. On January 10, 2024, in accordance with Article 56(2) of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, the Honorable President of the People's Republic of Bangladesh appointed Mr. M. Abdur Rahman as a minister.
