Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina led the 14-party alliance to an unprecedented victory in the 12th National Parliamentary Election. Under her leadership from 2014 to 2018, Bangladesh achieved significant milestones, including the elevation to a middle-income country status. Her adept diplomacy secured approval of the Land Boundary Agreement by the Indian Parliament, effectively resolving a 68-year border dispute through mutual consent. Sheikh Hasina's administration successfully reduced the poverty rate by 22.4 percent and celebrated the launch of Bangabandhu Satellite-1, marking a milestone in Bangladesh's space exploration endeavors. Notable achievements during her tenure also encompass the transition of Bangladesh from a least developed country to a developing nation, the completion of the Padma Bridge construction with domestic funding, and the construction of tunnels along the riverbanks of Karnaphuli in Chittagong. Furthermore, under her leadership, various mega projects, including those in Matarbari, have seen rapid progress, and plans are underway to establish one hundred special economic zones across the country, reflecting Sheikh Hasina's visionary leadership and commitment to national development.
